Agricultural Science Support
Cassie’s scientific soils knowledge combined with Dave’s years of hands-on agronomic experience means that they can offer a unique package of support to scientific projects. This work can range from high end scientific analysis using cutting edge technologies through to in-field assessments and knowledge. Often the nature of agricultural research (field and lab-based research) means that the methods or equipment required to undertake the work or quantify value require the adaption or modification of existing methods or equipment. Through their years of experience in both lab and field research Cassie and Dave have extensive knowledge that can be applied to help the client. Where AgriSci do not have the specific equipment required they have a network of trusted providers and they work closely with these providers to ensure the client's requirements are met to high standard.
Grant Applications
Cassie has successfully prepared and submitted many grant applications over her career. AgriSci are able to assist with writing grant application either in the development of projects that AgriSci will contribute to, or as a standalone service.
Industry Networking
Both Dave and Cassie have strong industry networks that they use extensively to connect people with complementary interests or issues. Often this is part of a project or it may be as simple as connecting people who can mutually benefit from a relationship. AgriSci often find that it is beneficial if they continue to be engaged in that relationship to help ‘translate’, especially in the early phases as different parties are learning how to interact (eg agronomists, data scientists, and physicists).
Project Development Delivery and Management
AgriSci can assist with the development and delivery of projects from their inception through to completion. If required, AgriSci can also contribute to discrete components of larger projects. Often clients use AgriSci’s experience and knowledge to provide technical expertise to a project or provide overall project management/program oversight. AgriSci can also take on the role of project management having successfully managed many scientific and field research projects in the past, bringing not only management skills but the required technical ability as well.
AgriSci enjoy the challenge of looking at a potential project and forecasting and estimating requirements of the project, while accounting for seasonality, logistics and timeliness considerations.
Product Development
We have worked with a number of clients to develop their product by providing scientific and practical farming systems knowledge and ensuring that field trials are designed to deliver robust, credible data to demonstrate value. These clients have ranged from fertiliser companies, soil carbon enhancers to companies who produce a waste stream that they wish to turn into a usable beneficial agricultural product.
